Ok. SERVE has been pretty great. The lectures are intriguing and interesting and the people are lots of fun! I've made a lot of new friends too and it's just the 3rd day. :) Well, I hope to be able to learn more about the bible and about God in the next 2 months. But the only downside of it is that we are supposed to read one book of the bible (we choose it randomly by drawing lots) and write a summary of it in less than 200 words and present it to everybody within 3 minutes. And it's due TOMORROW. How's that? I never expected homework too. But yeah. Anyway, I picked 2 John and 3 John (which adds up to only 1 page of the bible) and then there was a mistake in the drawing of lots and we got to draw it again. Then I picked GENESIS. God bless me. I'll never finish 50 chapters of the book in less than a week. It's pretty scary cos 1) I may be the first to present since I got the first book in the bible and 2) presenting in front of at least 65 people? I can't do it without choking on my saliva cos it's so unnerving. Okay. I shall stop thinking about it. After I finish this entry I gotta go do my homework, otherwise I'll have to feign illness tomorrow. :P

Let's talk about today. I had to do Welcome Ministry in church. Then during the announcement time, Pastor Wong announced that 3 youths were involved in the SERVE programme and asked us up the stage for everybody to pray for us. He didn't tell us beforehand that he wanted to do this. Ok so anyway, that's not the main point. After he talked a bit, he passed the mike to Gordon first and asked us to say a few words. We were caught offguard cos we weren't expecting this. When it was my turn, I just.. say a bit of stuff and passed it on to Lionel. Haha.. Ok. I think I appeared every bit as nervous as I felt. Shucks. Then they prayed for us in tongues and everything. So did the Chinese congregation. Suddenly I felt so empowered after the commissioning (i dunno if that's what it is).

I feel bad about this too but it gets increasingly frustrating, especially when you need to face one of the most irritating person practically everyday. Correction: I mean EVERYDAY. God, please bless me with the divine patience I need to bear with the things which seriously gets to me.

1) I have no earlobes. I think I'm the minority cos practically everybody has earlobes (more or less), except me. :(

2) There's a small hole on my left thigh.

3) I'm so proud of this, that I've got the AB blood. Haha.. According to statistics, only 5% of the Singapore population has it. :)

4) Curling my tongue was something I managed to accomplish after years of practice. :P

5) I used to have an imaginary friend. ;)
